Let's not move into Fall with fear

There's a lot of fear and worry being conveyed in the media and I'd like to weigh-in and share how I use essential oils to economically, safely, and effectively support my health.

Let's begin with supporting key pillars of health that aren't often discussed ... the air we breathe and the water we drink. I believe supporting our own emotional resilience is what will lead to better outcomes in the long term. Yes, we don't want to put on 50 lbs but I remember how it felt to be alone, crouched in my basement with my puppy while alarms rang out through my phone telling everyone to shelter in place. Having breathing techniques and my diffuser with dōTERRA's black spruce and frankincense essential oils helped to calm and soothe me quite quickly. The cool thing is, within 20 seconds of breathing anything in through our noses, we're affecting our brain chemistry. Most people know that our sense of smell is our most powerful sense and highly connected to memory and feelings. I can still smell my grandmother's pumpkin soup warming on the stove at her house and it makes me feel nourished on so many levels ... emotionally, physically, spiritually.

Do you use aroma to support your overall health? What techniques can you rely on to bring you OUT of fight or flight mode and into rest and digest?

I LOVE a good tea and this little recipe has so many health and emotional benefits. It's a deliciously cozy way to start the day and helps support increasing water consumption. I'm not suggesting you have to give up your coffee ... I would rebel at that idea, too. Just add some warm water and lemon essential oil to your early morning rituals to assist the body to re-hydrate after sleeping and let the detoxifying benefit of lemon oil support your digestion and immunity.

Give the recipe below a try and let me know what you think.

Do you need some complimentary, customized samples of essential oils to try? I'm pretty sure I can help.

Until next time, my friends!

Peace
